The Hospitality Rising Summit brings together high school and college students from across Utah for a day of inspiration, exploration, and connection. Hear from industry leaders, connect with organizations and academic programs, and discover exciting career pathways across the hospitality and tourism industry.

Join us for an event packed with:

• Hands-on learning activities
• College exploration, career opportunities, and networking

Discussions throughout the day will include:

• Hospitality Everywhere – Explore unconventional career paths within hospitality and discover how leadership, communication, creativity, and people skills can open doors across industries.
• From Campus to Career – Hear from recent graduates about their academic journeys, career paths, and real-world advice for making the transition from college to career.
• The Design Behind the Experience – Explore how creativity and design shape meaningful experiences in everyday interactions as Multidisciplinary Design students share their projects, ideas, and inspiration.
• Smart Hospitality: From Data to Experience – Discover how emerging technology is reshaping hospitality and the broader world of experiences. Hear from innovators working with AI, data science, platform development, and new strategies for the future.
• Biophilic Design: Bringing Nature into Everyday Spaces – Explore how architects and designers are bringing nature into hotels, gathering spaces, and other built environments. Discover how plants, natural elements, and connections to the outdoors can shape human experiences and create spaces where people feel more connected, comfortable, and engaged.

Competitions leading up to the summit:

Two competitions will lead up to the Hospitality Rising Summit, giving high school and college students the opportunity to put their creativity, research, and strategic thinking into action. High school students will develop and pitch their ideas for a Utah getaway for four in the Travel Agent Competition, while college students will create a branding vision for a Utah destination in the Destination Marketing Organization Competition.
